Submit a Request: You can do this online at the USPS Change of Address website or in person at your local post office

Duration: Temporary forwarding can be set for a period of 15 days to 1 year. If you need it for longer, you can extend the forwarding period up to a total of 12 months

Priyo Mail Types: First-Class mail, periodicals, and Priority Mail are forwarded for free. However, USPS Marketing U-Mail is not forwarded

Identity Verification: You’ll need to verify your identity, which involves a small fee of $1.10 if done online

How do I cancel or modify a temporary change of address?

• Locate Your Confirmation Code: This code is in the confirmation email you received when you first submitted your change of address request. If you submitted the request at a post office, the code is also in the confirmation letter sent to your new address.
• Visit the USPS Change of Address Website: Go to the USPS Change of Address website
• Enter Your Information: Input your confirmation code and new ZIP Code™ to access your change of address order
• Make Changes: Once logged in, you can choose to either cancel or modify your request. Follow the prompts to complete the process
